Terms of Service

By accessing or using SiYou, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

SiYou is operated by Faivv Limited. These Terms govern your use of the website, account systems, AI companions, chats, and related features made available under the SiYou name.

You must be at least 18 years old to use SiYou. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older.

We do not permit use by minors. If we reasonably believe a user is under 18, we may suspend access, terminate the account, or remove associated data.

The Service is not available to individuals physically located in the United States or China Mainland. By using the Service, you warrant that you are not physically present in the United States or China Mainland and will not access or use the Service while physically in those regions. This restriction is based on your physical location at the time of access, regardless of your nationality, place of residence, or where your account was created.

We employ geo-blocking as a risk mitigation tool to restrict access from the United States and China Mainland due to current and/or forthcoming legal requirements. By circumventing these restrictions, you agree that you are responsible for any violation of applicable laws.

SiYou uses IP2Location.io IP geolocation web service for geographic region detection.

SiYou is an AI companion product. It is designed to feel familiar, conversational, and continuous over time, but it remains software. AI pals are not human beings, not professional advisers, and not substitutes for real-world judgment, relationships, or care.

You are always interacting with artificial intelligence when you chat with an AI pal, including when a pal uses first-person language, appears to remember you, expresses affection, or sends a proactive message. Any persona, inner life, emotion, relationship, or experience attributed to an AI pal is simulated.

Features may change, pause, or be removed at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, continuous memory, emotional consistency, or factual correctness in any reply.

You must not rely on SiYou or any AI pal for financial, investment, legal, medical, therapeutic, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions.

Chats may feel personal, but generated responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, manipulative in effect, emotionally over-interpreted by users, or otherwise unsuitable for a particular context.

SiYou is not an emergency, crisis-monitoring, suicide-prevention, or healthcare service. It does not continuously monitor chats and may fail to identify distress, abuse, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or another emergency. If you or someone else may be in danger, stop using SiYou for help and contact local emergency services, a crisis service, a qualified professional, or a trusted person now.

You agree not to enter highly sensitive information into your profile, My Card, pal settings, or chats.

• No bank-account details, payment-card numbers, passwords, brokerage details, tax data, or other financial information.
• No security credentials, recovery codes, authentication tokens, or confidential access information.
• No highly sensitive personal data that you would not want stored, processed, leaked, or reviewed during safety, debugging, or provider-side processing.
• No confidential third-party data that you do not have permission to share.

Voice messages may be stored, transcribed by automated systems, and made available for playback. You must have the right to record and share every voice message you submit. Laws concerning recording and consent vary by location, and you are responsible for complying with them.

When you submit a website address, the Service may retrieve the public page and create or reuse an automated summary. We do not control third-party websites and do not guarantee that retrieved content or summaries are accurate, safe, current, or lawful.

Group chats are shared with the other human participants. They can see, copy, record, or disclose what you post. Do not submit another person's personal data or confidential content without permission. Group owners and members are responsible for their own conduct and for content they share outside SiYou.

You agree not to use SiYou to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• generate harmful, abusive, exploitative, or deceptive content;
• threaten, harass, stalk, exploit, or facilitate harm to another person;
• create or distribute sexual exploitation material or any sexual content involving minors;
• encourage self-harm, suicide, violence, or dangerous conduct;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
• submit content that infringes privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights;
• attempt to probe, reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service;
• circumvent safety, access, billing, or rate-limit controls; or
• use the service in connection with emergencies or critical welfare situations where human help is required.

You are responsible for account activity conducted through your credentials. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we believe it is necessary for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or system integrity.

We may also remove content or disable features if we believe they create product, legal, or safety risk.

You may request account deletion through the controls we provide. Deletion is subject to the retention practices described in the Privacy Policy. Removing the SiYou app from a device does not delete your account.

You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You grant Faivv Limited a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, transmit, display, and create technical or AI-generated derivatives of that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except where retention is permitted under the Privacy Policy or law.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your content and grant this licence. You remain responsible for your content and the consequences of sharing it, particularly in a group chat.

SiYou, its interface, branding, and software are owned or licensed by Faivv Limited. You remain responsible for the content you submit and for any use you make of generated outputs.

Because AI systems can produce similar responses for different users, we do not guarantee uniqueness, exclusivity, or non-infringement of any generated output.

SiYou may rely on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, communications, analytics, storage, and AI-model processing. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or service interruptions of third-party providers.

We may add, replace, or remove third-party providers, SDKs, and platform integrations as the service evolves.

Links, news items, and summaries may refer to third-party content. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement, and third-party terms and privacy practices apply when you leave SiYou.

SiYou is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faivv Limited disclaims warranties regarding accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faivv Limited will not be liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on SiYou, including reliance on AI-generated replies or emotionally significant chats.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faivv Limited and its directors, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from or relating to the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of HKD 100 or the total amount you paid to Faivv Limited for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud or other matters for which applicable law prohibits limitation.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Faivv Limited and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) any content you submit or publish using the Service, including in group chats.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong in relation to disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service.

SiYou is operated from Hong Kong and may be accessed in other locations. You must use the Service lawfully where you are located. Faivv Limited remains responsible for obligations that applicable law imposes on it.

The governing-law and jurisdiction provisions do not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply under the law of your place of residence and cannot be waived by contract.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or another appropriate channel before it takes effect where required by law. Other changes will be effective when posted with a revised date.
